In this video, Corinne plays J.S.Bach/Charles Gounod’s popular melody of Ave Maria, originally published in 1853 as “Méditation sur le Premier Prélude de Piano de J. S. Bach”. She plays on a cor anglais Model 180 D made by Gebrüder Mönnig in Markneukirchen, Germany. The main body of the instrument is made from seasoned Grenadilla wood with a Cocobolo wood bell which creates a warm and mellow tone. Much of the key work is gold plated giving the instrument a stunning golden hue.
